Whether you are looking for a long-term maternity cover, a fixed-term contract, or regular supply work, this role is essential for maintaining high academic standards during a crucial period. You will be responsible for delivering effective, challenging, and engaging Maths lessons that empower students to reach their full potential.
Key ResponsibilitiesDeliver High-Impact Lessons: Plan and teach high-quality, differentiated lessons covering the National Curriculum, ensuring students are challenged in Algebra, Geometry, and Number.
Monitor Student Progress: Use data to identify learning gaps and implement rapid interventions to ensure all students stay on track for their GCSEs.
Classroom Leadership: Foster a stimulating and well-managed learning environment that promotes critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
Collaborative Working: Partner with the Head of Department and colleagues to share resources and ensure seamless lesson handovers.
Professional Standards: Uphold school policies regarding safeguarding, behavior management, and professional conduct at all times.
Requirements
Full Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential, along with a degree in Mathematics or a related quantitative field.
Secondary Experience: Proven experience teaching Maths across KS3 and KS4 (GCSE) in a UK school.
Communication Skills: The ability to explain complex mathematical theories clearly and build rapport with students quickly.
Strong Management: Excellent classroom management skills and the adaptability to thrive in a new school setting.
Safeguarding: A current Enhanced Child DBS on the update service (or a willingness to obtain one promptly).
