The Role: Maths Teacher

We are looking for an educator who can inspire a lifelong appreciation for mathematics, developing strong numerical fluency and advanced problem-solving skills from junior grades up through university preparation courses.

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Plan, prepare, and deliver stimulating and differentiated Maths lessons across all key stages, including advanced courses (e.g., GCSE, A-Level, IB, Further Maths, or equivalent).
• Foster a positive and challenging learning environment where students feel confident to tackle complex problems and embrace mathematical reasoning.
• Assess, track, and record student progress meticulously, providing targeted interventions and constructive feedback to maximize attainment.
• Contribute to the ongoing development of the Mathematics curriculum, departmental schemes of work, and high-quality teaching resources.
• Integrate educational technology and real-world applications into lessons to enhance engagement and understanding.
• Provide academic coaching and guidance to students, including supporting those preparing for national examinations and university entrance.
• Actively participate in extra-curricular activities, such as Maths clubs, competitions, or mentorship programmes, to promote the subject.

What We're Looking For

We are seeking a teacher who is not just a subject expert but a dedicated mentor committed to nurturing the quantitative and analytical skills of our students.

• A degree in Mathematics or a closely related quantitative field.
• A recognized teaching qualification (e.g., PGCE, QTS, or equivalent).
• Proven experience teaching Mathematics to a high standard, ideally up to A-Level or equivalent.
• Excellent subject knowledge with the ability to teach pure mathematics, statistics, and mechanics confidently.
• A strong commitment to data-driven instruction and continuous improvement in student outcomes.
• The ability to build positive relationships with students and colleagues and manage a dynamic classroom effectively.
• A proactive and flexible approach, with a desire to collaborate on departmental initiatives and share best practice.
