Are you a talented Music Teacher (QTS) or Music Specialist looking to make an impact through to the end of the year? We are seeking a dynamic educator to join a vibrant secondary school in Preston for an immediate start.
This role is a fixed-term placement until July 2026. For the right candidate who fits the culture and spirit of the department, there is a strong possibility of the role becoming a permanent fixture. Your Responsibilities
Plan and deliver high-quality Music lessons across KS3 and KS4.
Prepare Year 11 students for their final GCSE/BTEC Music exams in the summer.
Manage musical equipment, including instruments and software (Logic/Sibelius).
Organise and lead rehearsals for upcoming summer concerts and extracurricular clubs.
Foster an inclusive environment where all students can engage with music.
Monitor progress and provide feedback to improve performance technique.
Attend departmental meetings and contribute to the wider life of the school.
Essential Requirements
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent specialist experience.
Experience teaching the Music curriculum in a UK secondary school.
Strong proficiency in at least one instrument.
Knowledge of Music Technology in the classroom.
A positive attitude and effective communication skills.
Able to engage with and motivate students of all abilities.
A commitment to safeguarding (10-year employment history check).
