The Opportunity: What You'll Be Doing
- Leading with Creativity: You will be responsible for planning and delivering engaging music lessons to students across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 (GCSE).
- Nurturing Talent: Help students develop their musical skills and confidence, both individually and in group settings, including rehearsals and school performances.
- Building a Collaborative Culture: Work closely with a dedicated team of colleagues within the performing arts department, sharing ideas and best practices to enhance the curriculum.
- Full Teaching Responsibilities: This is a full-time position that includes all aspects of teaching, such as lesson planning, marking, and student assessment.
- Contributing to School Life: You will be expected to support and participate in extra-curricular musical activities and events, enriching the overall student experience.
The Ideal Candidate: Who We're Looking For
- You must hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and have a degree in Music or a related subject.
- You have a proven track record of teaching music at the secondary school level.
- You are an excellent communicator with the ability to inspire and motivate students of all abilities.
- You are highly organised, adaptable, and skilled in classroom management.
- You have a genuine passion for music and a commitment to helping young people achieve their full potential.
