As part of the eligibility criteria for this role, we require candidates to have completed the relevant National Autistic Society (NAS) training modules.
If you have not yet completed these modules, don't worry - we are happy to support you in obtaining them. You will be provided with direct access to the required training materials. The training costs approximately £180 (One time Payment), and successful completion is necessary prior to commencing the role.
Upon completion, you will receive a certificate from the National Autistic Society, which can serve as a valuable addition to your professional profile. This certification is widely recognised and can strengthen your CV when applying for roles that support individuals with Autism, ADHD, and other neurodiverse conditions.
Randstad Student Support seeks a highly qualified and immediately available One to One Study Skills Tutor ASC to work part-time with students exhibiting Specific Learning Difficulties (SPLDs) and Autism. This is a crucial role, and we are seeking to fill the position urgently.
TasksThe successful candidate will develop and implement individualized learning plans, guide students in effective time management, assess progress, adapt plans as needed, collaborate with university staff, and utilize online teaching technologies. Specific responsibilities include creating personalized learning plans, providing tailored academic support, and guiding students toward effective learning strategies.
SkillsCandidates must possess proven teaching experience with SPLDs, a relevant teaching qualification (QTS, PGCE, or equivalent), and experience supporting autistic students. A postgraduate qualification in a relevant field is required. Completion of the National Autistic Society (NAS) training modules is a prerequisite; however, support will be provided to obtain certification if needed.
