Role Highlights:
- Develop and implement individualised education plans (IEPs) for students with special needs, ensuring tailored learning goals and accommodations are met.
- Cultivate a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student engagement, participation, and social-emotional development.
- Employ a variety of teaching strategies, resources, and assertive technologies to support diverse learning styles and abilities.
- Collaborate closely with parents/guardians, school staff, and external professionals to provide comprehensive support and effective communication channels.
- Monitor student progress, conduct assessments, and provide timely feedback to students and their families.
- Foster a sense of belonging and empathy among students, promoting an inclusive and respectful learning community.
Requirements:
- Qualified teacher status and relevant certifications in special education or SEN.
- Proven experience working with students with special needs, preferably in an educational setting.
- In-depth knowledge of SEN strategies, interventions, and assessment methods.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues.
- Patience, empathy, and an authentic passion for supporting the holistic development of students with special needs.
- Flexibility and adaptability in meeting the evolving needs of individual students and the broader educational landscape.
