The School is looking for a Deputy Director of Learning for PE with a proven track record of success in improving standards and raising pupil outcomes. They want to hear from talented middle leaders looking to extend their experience, and outstanding, ambitious teachers seeking their first middle leadership post.
Requirements:
- A degree-level qualification and Qualified Teacher Status.
- The ability to teach to GCSE standard.
- The ability to coach and motivate colleagues to achieve individual and collective targets.
- Experience of sustained delivery of outstanding attainment and achievement.
- Experience of innovation and creativity to engage, enthuse and progress learners.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the Director of Learning for PE to develop and implement an engaging and inclusive curriculum that meets the needs of all students.
- Lead and inspire a team of passionate PE educators, providing guidance, support, and professional development opportunities.
- Foster a positive learning environment that encourages participation, sportsmanship, and a lifelong appreciation for physical activity.
- Oversee the planning, delivery, and assessment of PE lessons, ensuring adherence to national standards and school policies.
- Coordinate extracurricular sports activities, competitions, and events, promoting school spirit and community involvement.
- Monitor and evaluate student progress, providing timely feedback and implementing interventions as necessary to support individual growth and achievement.
- Collaborate with colleagues across departments to promote cross-curricular learning opportunities and holistic student development.
- Actively engage with parents, guardians, and external stakeholders to communicate student progress, address concerns, and celebrate achievements.
