The Role: Physical Education Teacher (KS3 to KS5)
We are seeking an enthusiastic, qualified, and highly motivated Teacher of Physical Education to join a dedicated faculty. This role involves planning, teaching, and assessing high-quality PE lessons across Key Stages 3, 4, and 5 (including A-Level or BTEC Sport). You will be instrumental in maintaining the high profile of sport and physical activity across the school.

Core Roles and Responsibilities
- Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging and effective PE lessons across the curriculum, catering to all abilities and ensuring progress.
- Teach a broad range of physical activities including major team sports (e.g., football, netball, rugby), individual pursuits (e.g., athletics, gymnastics), and fitness/health components.
- Assess, monitor, and report on student attainment and progress, providing constructive feedback to support improvement.
- Lead and manage at least one significant extracurricular sports club or team, fostering student participation and competitive success.
- Contribute to the development and enhancement of the PE curriculum, including non-traditional sports and health education topics.
- Maintain high standards of behavior and safety within all teaching spaces, including the gymnasium, pitches, and changing rooms.
- Act as a tutor (or equivalent pastoral role), supporting the social, emotional, and academic welfare of a dedicated group of students.
What We're Looking For
We require an innovative and committed professional who can bring energy and expertise to our department.
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a degree in Physical Education or a related field.
- Proven experience of successfully teaching PE at Key Stage 3, Key Stage 4, and preferably Key Stage 5 (A-Level PE or BTEC Sport).
- Exceptional subject knowledge and passion for a wide variety of sports and physical activities.
- The ability to motivate and inspire students of all backgrounds and sporting abilities.
- Strong organizational and time management skills required for lesson planning, assessment, and managing extracurricular commitments.
- A commitment to utilizing technology to enhance teaching, learning, and assessment (e.g., video analysis, performance tracking).
- Willingness to contribute fully to the wider life of the school, including school events and professional development.
