Job Description: We are looking for a dedicated and skilled Social Work Practice Supervisor to oversee the delivery of high-quality social work services in Bradford. In this role, you will be responsible for providing guidance, mentoring, and support to a team of social workers, ensuring they adhere to best practices and professional standards. As a Practice Supervisor, you will play a crucial role in maintaining and enhancing the quality of our services, promoting positive outcomes for the individuals and families we serve.
Responsibilities:
- Supervise a team of social workers, providing ongoing support, guidance, and mentoring.
- Monitor and review caseloads, ensuring effective case management and adherence to policies and procedures.
- Conduct regular individual and group supervision sessions to support the professional development of social workers.
- Assist in the recruitment, training, and performance evaluation of social work staff.
- Collaborate with other departments and agencies to ensure seamless service delivery and effective multi-disciplinary teamwork.
- Stay updated on relevant legislation, policies, and best practices in the field of social work, and ensure compliance within the team.
- Provide consultation and support to social workers in complex cases or challenging situations.
- Promote a positive and inclusive working environment, fostering a culture of continuous learning and professional growth.
Qualifications and Experience:
- A recognized qualification in social work and registration with the appropriate professional body (e.g., Social Work England).
- Extensive experience as a qualified social worker, including a track record of successfully managing complex cases.
- Proven experience in a supervisory or leadership role within a social work setting.
- Strong knowledge of relevant legislation, policies, and best practices in social work.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing competing demands.
