Randstad Education is looking for a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join a warm and welcoming primary school where every child is encouraged to thrive.
The Role:
As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you'll work closely with the class teacher and the school's SENCO to provide tailored support to pupils with a range of special educational needs. You'll help to create a positive, nurturing environment where children feel safe, supported, and encouraged to succeed.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide one-to-one or small group support to pupils with additional needs
Support learning in line with individual education plans (IEPs)
Assist the class teacher with planning and adapting activities
Encourage positive behaviour and emotional wellbeing
Build trusting relationships with pupils, staff, and parents
What We're Looking For:
Experience supporting children with SEN, particularly in a school setting
A calm, patient, and empathetic approach
Strong communication and teamwork skills
A genuine passion for helping children overcome barriers to learning
An enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply for one)
