Roles & Responsibilities
The Class Teacher will be responsible for:
Exemplary Planning: Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons in line with the National Curriculum, ensuring high levels of challenge and achievement.
Assessment & Data: Systematically assess, record, and report on the development, progress, and attainment of pupils, using data analysis to inform future planning.
Curriculum Leadership: Potentially lead a core or foundation subject across the school, developing resources and advising colleagues (dependent on experience).
Professional Development: Actively participate in whole-school planning, training, and review meetings, contributing to the wider school improvement plan.
Communication: Maintain open and professional communication with parents, staff, and the wider community regarding pupil welfare and progress.
Requirements
The ideal candidate will meet the following criteria:
Mandatory Certification: Possess Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in the UK.
Experience: Proven successful experience as a Class Teacher in either Key Stage 1 or Key Stage 2.
Pedagogy: Thorough understanding of effective differentiation strategies and best practices in phonics instruction.
Soft Skills: Dynamic personality, exceptional communication skills, and a willingness to fully integrate into school life.
Compliance: Must be willing to apply for or possess a current Enhanced DBS check registered on the Update Service.
