Roles & Responsibilities
The Class Teacher will be entrusted with key leadership and classroom duties, including:
Ethos Integration: Plan and deliver engaging lessons that effectively integrate the school's core Christian values, ensuring SMSC (Spiritual, Moral, Social, Cultural) development is at the forefront.
RE/Worship Leadership: Take a proactive role in planning and/or leading stimulating Religious Education lessons and contributing to the school's acts of daily collective worship.
Community Links: Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with the local parish and community groups, fostering outreach and involvement opportunities for the pupils.
Academic Challenge: Utilise advanced differentiation techniques to ensure that all pupils, particularly the most able, are challenged and achieve excellent outcomes in statutory assessments.
Mentorship: Mentor and guide Teaching Assistants within the classroom, ensuring effective deployment and evaluation of their support.
Assessment Cycle: Systematically analyse assessment data to inform planning, identify specific learning needs, and report accurately to parents and governors.
Requirements
The ideal candidate for this influential role will possess:
Certification: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is mandatory.
Experience: Proven track record of successful teaching, ideally within Key Stage 2, with strong evidence of pupil progress.
RE Expertise: Confidence and expertise in planning and delivering outstanding lessons.
Personal Commitment: A clear affinity for and understanding of the distinct ethos of a Church of England school.
Organisational Skills: Exemplary organisation, time management, and the ability to manage competing demands effectively.
