Roles & Responsibilities
The Class Teacher will hold significant responsibility for:
Data-Driven Planning: Utilise continuous formative assessment and data analysis to inform daily planning and strategically differentiate lessons for maximum pupil gain.
Curriculum Implementation: Successfully plan, deliver, and assess the full Key Stage 2 curriculum, ensuring high standards of achievement and creative learning opportunities.
Resource Budgeting: Contribute to the annual resource budgeting process for the Key Stage, ensuring prudent spending that maximises educational impact.
Mentoring & Coaching: Provide direction and professional coaching to the classroom Teaching Assistants, ensuring the effectiveness of in-class support.
Pastoral Care: Take a proactive role in the pastoral well-being of the class, developing strong relationships with families and acting as the primary safeguarding contact.
CPD Engagement: Actively engage with internal and external Continuous Professional Development, leading training sessions for peers where expertise lies.
Requirements
The school requires candidates to possess the following:
Certification: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is mandatory.
Experience: Demonstrable track record of successful teaching experience within Key Stage 2 in a UK primary school.
Data Proficiency: High competence in using school management information systems (MIS) and data to drive instructional decisions.
Ambition: A clear desire to take on additional leadership responsibilities (e.g., Subject Lead) within the next two years.
Compliance: Must possess a current Enhanced DBS check registered on the Update Service.
