The Role:
As a Primary Teaching Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting the class teacher, facilitating learning activities, and providing direct support to individual pupils or small groups.

Key Roles and Responsibilities:
- Support Learning: Assist the class teacher with the preparation and delivery of learning activities across the curriculum (e.g., phonics, literacy, numeracy).
- Individual/Group Support: Work closely with individual pupils, including those with Special Educational Needs (SEN), or small groups to reinforce learning and address specific needs.
- Classroom Management: Help maintain a stimulating, safe, and tidy learning environment, including preparing resources and displays.
- Behaviour and Welfare: Support the school's positive behaviour policy, supervising pupils during lessons, break times, and lunchtimes, ensuring their well-being and safety.
- Administrative Tasks: Carry out routine administrative tasks such as photocopying, filing, and collating student work.
- Communication: Provide feedback to the class teacher on student progress, behaviour, and development.
What We Are Looking For
We are searching for a compassionate, resilient, and proactive individual who is committed to supporting the development of primary-aged children.
The ideal candidate will have:
- Previous experience (paid or voluntary) working with children in a school or childcare setting is desirable.
- Excellent Literacy and Numeracy skills (GCSE Grade C/4 or equivalent essential).
- A nurturing, patient, and flexible approach, with the ability to build strong rapport with young children.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills, capable of working effectively with teachers, parents, and other support staff.
- A pro-active attitude and the ability to work independently, taking initiative within the classroom.
- A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
