A residential developer is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Quantity Surveyor for a short-term contract. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in assisting with procurement and tendering processes for upcoming residential projects. This contract offers an excellent opportunity for a skilled Quantity Surveyor to contribute their expertise in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assisting with the preparation of tender documents, including bills of quantities and specifications.
- Conducting detailed cost analysis and value engineering studies.
- Evaluating and negotiating tenders from contractors and suppliers.
- Providing support in the selection and appointment of contractors.
- Ensuring compliance with contractual terms and conditions.
- Collaborating with the wider project team to achieve project objectives.
Skills and Experience:
- Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor, ideally within the residential sector.
- Strong understanding of procurement and tendering procedures.
- Excellent analytical and numerical skills.
- Proficiency in relevant industry software.
- Exceptional communication and negotiation abilities.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Relevant professional qualification (e.g., RICS) is desirable.
This is a short-term contract position with an immediate start available. The developer offers a competitive day rate commensurate with experience.
