As a Quantity Surveyor, you will play a crucial role in the successful delivery of our residential projects. You will be responsible for managing all aspects of cost and procurement, ensuring projects are delivered within budget while maintaining the highest standards of quality.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and manage cost estimates, budgets, and procurement strategies for residential construction projects.
- Conduct cost analysis, value engineering, and risk assessments to optimise project costs and resource allocation.
- Collaborate closely with project managers, architects, engineers, and subcontractors to ensure accurate cost reporting and forecasting.
- Evaluate tender submissions, negotiate contracts, and manage subcontractor agreements to achieve cost-effective project outcomes.
- Monitor project progress, track variations, and provide timely reports on cost performance and budgetary compliance.
- Identify opportunities for cost savings, process improvements, and value enhancement throughout the project lifecycle.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in quantity surveying within the residential construction industry.
- Strong understanding of construction contracts, procurement methods, and cost control techniques.
- Proficiency in industry-standard quantity surveying software and tools.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple projects simultaneously.
- Chartered status with the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) is desirable but not essential.
