Location: Coleford
Shift: Monday - Friday (08:30 - 17:00)
Role & Responsibilities
As an R&D Microbiology and Analytical Associate, you will play a vital role in ensuring product quality and safety through diligent sample analysis and preparation. You will work with essential laboratory equipment and techniques, contributing to the research and development efforts of the company.
Main tasks include
- Analyze samples, including water and environmental testing.
- Prepare media for microbiological testing.
- Operate and maintain laboratory equipment such as pipettes, petri dishes, and laminar flow cabinets.
- Perform microbiological techniques including spread plate and filtration.
- Conduct basic routine analytical tests (e.g., Brix, pH, acidity, SO₂, UV).
- Assist with HPLC and GC analysis.
- Studies related to Science, Biology, or Microbiology.
- Experience in sample analysis, including water and environmental samples.
- Proficiency in media preparation.
- Hands-on experience with laboratory equipment like pipettes, petri dishes, and laminar flow cabinets.
- Familiarity with microbiological techniques such as spread plating and filtration.
- Knowledge of basic routine analytical tests (Brix, pH, acidity, SO₂, UV).
- Experience with HPLC and GC is a significant advantage.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
