Are you a resilient, empathetic, and dedicated individual looking to make a tangible impact on someone's life? We are seeking a Support Worker to join a specialized 2:1 team, providing high-quality care for an adult with mental health needs and learning disabilities.
This role is about more than just "care"-it's about empowering an individual to live their most independent life within their own home and the local community.
The Role
You will be part of a dedicated duo providing 2:1 support. Your primary focus will be:
Promoting Independence: Assisting with daily life skills, from household tasks to accessing community activities.
Emotional Support: Building a trusting relationship and providing a stable environment.
Proactive De-escalation: Because the individual can become heightened, you must be confident in using de-escalation techniques to ensure safety and maintain a calm atmosphere.
Pay & Benefits
We value the vital work our team does, which is reflected in our competitive rates:
Weekdays: £13.68 per hour
Weekends: £15.77 per hour
Sleep-ins: £64.98 per night
Shift Pattern
To provide the consistency our client needs, we operate on a specific shift block:
Day Shift: 08:00 - 20:00
Sleep-in: 20:00 - 07:00
Morning Handover: 07:00 - 10:30 (following the sleep-in)
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you must meet the following criteria:
Full-Time Availability: You must be able to commit to the client's rota needs, including weekends and sleep-ins.
Resilience: Experience in mental health or learning disabilities is highly preferred, particularly regarding de-escalation.
Compliance: You must have an up-to-date DBS and all right-to-work documentation ready for verification.
Character: We are looking for someone patient, observant, and genuinely passionate about person-centered care.
