        We have an exciting opportunity for someone with experience with working with adults or children with learning disabilities within a specialist school in Thornbury. This is initially a temporary role to start as soon as possible. The school believes in a vision of holistic education, care and therapy whilst being committed to strong academic progress. Offering an incredible range of different activities in their adapted curriculum, this role would suit someone interested in supporting students inside the classroom and also with practical activities and outdoor pursuits. You will be working with students with complex and severe learning difficulties, who may also display some challenging behaviour Responsibilities will include:delivering tailored teaching activities to pupils on either a one-to-one basis or in small groupsmake sure that the pupils you support are able to engage in learning and stay on task during the lesson or activitysupport the social and emotional development of pupils, reporting any issues when requiredWe are looking for someone with: Training in positive behaviour management techniques Experience of working with children or adults with learning difficulties Experience with dealing with challenging behaviourGenuine passion for working with studentsCalm and professional manner Benefits include:Opportunity to apply for permanent roles Free onsite parking, Competitive rates of pay This is a fantastic opportunity for those looking for a career within the education sector
