The Chongqing Campus opened in August 2020 and will provide excellent facilities for students. In the first instance the school will cater for early years through to Year 9 and grow with each academic year.

Location Overview: Chongqing is the largest city in southwest China. Within its borders it encompasses a wealth of water reserves, dense forests, and abundant flora and fauna. The focal point of the region is the Yangtze Three Gorges Dam, which is a tourist attraction as well as a commercial venture. The city is famous for its hot Sichuan cuisine and world-famous hotpot dishes. The cost of living in Chongqing is very low; good quality low-cost food is readily available. The cost of transportation is low as is the nightlife. It is possible to get Western goodies and essentials; Subways and Starbucks are plentiful, and new restaurants and authentic Western-style restaurants and cafes are sprouting up all over the city.

Requirements:

As the school will initially open to Year 9 - applicants must be willing to teach Elementary and Secondary school Art - flexibility is key. In the future as the school grows you will be able to specialise in your preferred level.

Teachers should have 2+ years of post-qualifying experience (you must be in your third year at time of application) and a good understanding of independent school practice and philosophy. The school prefers teachers with UK curriculum experience with previous international or EAL experience an advantage.
