Randstad Education is currently recruiting for an enthusiastic and skilled Science Teacher to join a high-achieving secondary school in the coastal community of Leigh-on-Sea. This is an excellent opportunity for a QTS holder to work in an environment that values academic excellence and creative practical learning.
Role Details
- Position: Science Teacher (Biology, Chemistry, or Physics)
- Location: Leigh-on-Sea, Essex
- Pay Rate: £140 - £170 per day (Weekly PAYE)
- Contract: Full-Time / Long-term Temporary
- Start Date: January 2026
What You Will Do
- Inspire students across KS3 and KS4 with interactive Science lessons.
- Utilise well-equipped laboratories to lead safe and engaging practical experiments.
- Foster a growth mindset, helping students navigate the complexities of the national curriculum.
- Contribute to the wider school community in Leigh-on-Sea, attending departmental meetings and parent evenings.
- Tailor teaching methods to support a diverse range of learning needs and abilities.
Essential Requirements
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is mandatory.
- Strong subject knowledge across all three sciences (specialism in one is an advantage).
- Evidence of "Good" or "Outstanding" teaching practice.
- A commitment to safeguarding and student welfare (Enhanced DBS required).
- Excellent communication skills to build rapport with students and staff alike.
