Key Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality Science lessons that meet the needs of a diverse student population.
- Bridge the gap between theory and real-world application, making Science relevant to everyday life.
- Focus on student engagement and progress, particularly in preparing Year 11 classes for their GCSE practicals and written exams.
- Work collaboratively with the department to maintain high standards of teaching and learning.
- Utilise effective classroom management strategies to foster a focused and respectful learning environment.
Requirements
To be successful in this Prittlewell-based role, you must have:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
- A strong subject knowledge across Biology, Chemistry, and Physics.
- A proactive approach to teaching and a willingness to contribute to the school's extra-curricular STEM clubs.
- An Enhanced DBS check (on the Update Service or willing to apply).
- The ability to commute easily to the Prittlewell/Southend Central area.
