Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver "Good" to "Outstanding" lessons in Biology, Chemistry, and Physics.
- Foster a love for scientific inquiry, encouraging students to develop their own experiments and hypotheses.
- Support Year 11 students through the final stages of their GCSE curriculum, focusing on required practicals and data analysis.
- Work closely with a small, tight-knit department to ensure consistent delivery of the curriculum.
- Maintain excellent standards of health and safety within the laboratory.
Candidate Requirements
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
- A relevant Science degree and a thorough understanding of the current UK curriculum.
- The ability to adapt teaching styles to challenge high-attaining students while supporting those with SEN.
- A positive, professional approach to school life and community engagement.
- A valid Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to apply for one).
