If you are a qualified educator with a passion for Biology, Chemistry, or Physics, we are looking for someone like you to bring the curriculum to life. We are seeking a dedicated professional to join a Secondary School team on a long-term basis, focusing on delivering exceptional lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4. Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is mandatory for this position.
Key Responsibilities
- Innovative Teaching: Create and deliver engaging Science lessons that challenge students and foster a genuine curiosity about the natural world.
- Practical Excellence: Lead safe and impactful laboratory sessions, ensuring students gain essential practical skills alongside theoretical knowledge.
- Achievement Focused: Prepare students for success in their GCSEs through targeted support, insightful feedback, and effective exam preparation.
- Inclusive Classroom: Tailor your teaching methods to suit various learning styles, ensuring that Science is accessible and stimulating for every pupil.
- Collaborative Planning: Work with a supportive team of specialists to develop resources and share best practices within the department.
- Performance Tracking: Use data-driven insights to monitor pupil progress and implement strategies to help every student reach their potential.
Requirements
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or QTLS is essential.
- A relevant degree in a Science subject (Physics, Chemistry, or Biology).
- Experience teaching the UK Science curriculum at a secondary level.
- Strong classroom management skills and a commitment to laboratory safety.
- Excellent communication skills to build strong relationships with pupils, parents, and colleagues.
- An enhanced Child DBS on the update service (or a willingness to obtain a new one).
