The Role: Science Teacher
As a Science Teacher, you will be responsible for teaching Key Stages 3, 4, and potentially 5 (A-Level) across the three core sciences: Biology, Chemistry, and Physics (or specialising in your field if applicable). You will be key in delivering a challenging and engaging curriculum that encourages students to develop their investigative skills and scientific literacy.

Roles and Responsibilities:
- Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality, engaging Science lessons to diverse groups of students, ensuring excellent progress and attainment.
- Effectively manage practical experiments and demonstrations, adhering to strict health and safety protocols.
- Assess, record, and report on student progress, providing timely and constructive feedback to facilitate improvement.
- Contribute to the development of departmental resources, schemes of work, and enrichment activities.
- Maintain an inspiring, organised, and safe classroom/laboratory environment.
- Participate fully in the school's pastoral care system and extra-curricular science initiatives (e.g., Science Club, STEM competitions).
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to share best practices and promote a consistent approach to teaching and learning.
What We're Looking For:
We are seeking a specialist who is enthusiastic about Science education and dedicated to making a tangible impact on student learning.
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualifications.
- A degree in a Science subject (Biology, Chemistry, or Physics) or a closely related field.
- Proven ability to teach Science effectively across the secondary age range (KS3 and KS4 required; KS5 desirable).
- Excellent subject knowledge and a genuine passion for your discipline.
- Strong classroom management skills with the ability to motivate and engage all learners.
- A commitment to using innovative teaching methodologies and technology to enhance learning.
- The desire to be a positive, contributing member of the school and the wider Science faculty.
