The Role: Dedicated Science Educator
We are seeking a dynamic and highly effective Science Teacher who is comfortable teaching all three sciences (Biology, Chemistry, Physics) at Key Stage 3 (KS3) and has the expertise to specialize in at least one at Key Stage 4 (GCSE).

Primary Roles and Responsibilities:
- Execute and differentiate lesson plans that promote inquiry-based learning and stimulate intellectual curiosity in all students.
- Organize and supervise safe, engaging, and meaningful laboratory practicals and demonstrations.
- Assess student progress through a variety of methods (formative and summative), providing detailed, actionable feedback to accelerate learning.
- Manage classroom dynamics effectively, promoting a positive, safe, and respectful learning environment where experimentation is encouraged.
- Collaborate with departmental colleagues on curriculum design, resource creation, and the sharing of best practice.
- Lead or support extra-curricular science opportunities, such as STEM clubs, science fairs, or field trips.
What We're Looking For:
The ideal candidate will be a highly motivated professional with a passion for their subject and a commitment to student engagement.
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent certification and a strong degree in a Science field.
- Proven experience of raising standards and achieving strong exam results in a secondary school setting.
- Expertise in classroom technology integration (e.g., simulations, data logging, interactive whiteboards) to enhance scientific understanding.
- An energetic and resilient personality with excellent communication skills for engaging students and liaising with parents.
- A clear commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
