We are currently seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant prepared to provide support to children across KS1 and KS2. Roles & Responsibilities:
... - Maintain strict confidentiality regarding children's personal and educational information.
- Collaborate with professionals such as speech therapists, occupational therapists, and educational psychologists to provide holistic support as necessary.
- Handle crisis situations, including meltdowns or behavioural challenges, with composure and professionalism.
- Advocate for the needs and rights of children with SEN, ensuring they receive appropriate resources and accommodations.
- Assist in teaching essential life skills, such as time management, organisation, and self-advocacy, to prepare children for post-school life.
Requirements:
- Thorough familiarity with the national Key Stage Curriculum.
- Proficiency in a variety of teaching techniques suitable for children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND).
- Comprehensive understanding of child development and the learning process.
- Strong commitment to fostering positive relationships with children and understanding their needs.
- Ability to provide personalised attention, encouragement, and assistance with learning assignments.
- Possession of an Enhanced DBS check or willingness to obtain one through Randstad.
- Eligibility to work in the UK without requiring sponsorship.
