The Role
- Holistic Support: Provide 1:1 and small-group assistance to students with diverse needs, including ASD, ADHD, and SEMH.
- Academic Access: Work alongside teachers to ensure students can access the curriculum through modified resources and simplified instructions.
- Positive Mentoring: Assist students in navigating the social aspects of secondary school life, promoting independence and emotional resilience.
- Data & Tracking: Help the SENCO monitor student progress against their EHCP (Education, Health and Care Plan) targets.
The Requirements
- Experience: Ideally, you will have experience in a school setting, but we also welcome applicants from care, sports coaching, or psychology backgrounds.
- Mindset: A patient, adaptable, and highly resilient approach is essential.
- Commitment: Reliability is key-our students benefit most from consistent support throughout the school term.
- DBS: An Enhanced DBS on the update service (or a willingness to process a new one).
