SEND Learning Support Assistant - Rayleigh

Randstad Education is seeking dedicated SEND Learning Support Assistants to join secondary schools in the Rayleigh area.

The Role
... - Targeted Academic Support: Assist students with SEND (including Autism, Dyslexia, and ADHD) in accessing the curriculum, particularly in core subjects like English and Maths.
- Independence Coaching: Guide students in developing their own learning strategies, helping them become more independent and confident in the classroom.
- SEMH Mentoring: Support students with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health needs, providing a calm and steady presence during the school day.
- Departmental Collaboration: Work under the guidance of the SENCO to implement specialised learning plans and monitor student progress.
The Requirements
- Experience: Previous experience in a school or care setting is preferred, but we also welcome graduates with a background in Psychology or Sociology.
- Mindset: A professional, patient, and highly reliable approach.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written skills to effectively liaise with staff and provide feedback on student development.
- DBS: An Enhanced DBS on the update service (or a willingness to process a new one).
- Accessibility: Rayleigh is perfectly situated for those using the A127, A130, or the Greater Anglia rail line (direct from Southend and London).
