Job Title: Senior Social Worker Intake and Assessment
Location: Vale of Glamorgan
Salary: £40-£42ph
As a Senior Social Worker in the Intake and Assessment team for the Vale of Glamorgan, you will be responsible for conducting thorough assessments of individuals and families referred to our services. Your role will involve gathering and analysing information, determining needs and risks, and coordinating appropriate interventions to ensure positive outcomes for those in need of support.

Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive assessments of individuals and families referred to our services, using a range of assessment tools and techniques to gather relevant information.
- Determine the needs and risks of individuals and families, taking into account their strengths, preferences, and cultural backgrounds.
- Coordinate appropriate interventions and support services, working collaboratively with colleagues, partner agencies, and other professionals to ensure that individuals receive timely and effective support.
- Provide consultation and support to colleagues and partner agencies regarding assessment and intervention strategies, offering guidance and assistance as needed.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all assessments, interventions, and interactions, ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
- Participate in team meetings, case conferences, and training sessions to share knowledge and expertise and contribute to the continuous improvement of service delivery.
Requirements:
- Degree in Social Work or equivalent qualification recognised by Social Care Wales.
- Registered with Social Care Wales as a Social Worker.
- Significant post-qualification experience in a social work role, with specific experience in intake and assessment preferred.
- Strong assessment and decision-making skills, with the ability to gather and analyse information effectively and make timely and appropriate decisions.
