Job Title: Medical Devices Service Technician
Location: Sittingbourne
Pay rate: £13.50 per hour
Hours: Monday-Friday, 8am-4pm
As a Medical Devices Service Technician, you will be responsible for carrying out all Medical Devices activities in line with stringent compliance and commercial requirements. You will work in accordance with Abbott Nutrition's global and local procedures to support the objectives and deliverable of our dedicated Service Centre.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough servicing of nutritional devices.
- Diagnose functional failures in feed pumps and identify the component(s) responsible.
- Perform expert repairs on nutritional devices to restore full functionality.
- Carry out comprehensive testing of nutritional devices, including incoming and outgoing checks.
- Maintain accurate, high-quality, and compliant records (both paper and electronic) of all testing, repair, and calibration activities.
- Uphold excellent departmental housekeeping to GMP/GLP standards and ensure strict adherence to safety recommendations, including the correct use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Proactively identify potential improvements to processes and documentation, reporting these to the Medical Devices Supervisor for implementation.
- Undertake any other Medical Devices duties as required and agreed with department management.
- Act as a mentor and role model for new and existing colleagues, sharing your expertise and best practices.
Who We're Looking For:
- Full on-the-job training will be provided.
- PC literate with experience in using databases and spreadsheets.
- Previous experience in a technical field, whether gained professionally or personally, is highly advantageous.
- Exceptional attention to detail.
- A meticulous and focused approach to tasks.
