Are you a highly organised and proactive Site Manager with a comprehensive understanding of construction processes? Do you thrive in a fast-paced environment managing multiple phases of work simultaneously? If so, we have an exciting opportunity to join our team for a 26-week project at a prestigious Leisure Club in York.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage all aspects of the construction project from inception to completion, including civils, internal fit-out, and M&E services.
- Accurately interpret and work from construction drawings, effectively communicating relevant information to the site team.
- Plan, organise, and manage up to four different construction phases concurrently, ensuring efficient workflow and resource allocation.
- Establish and maintain strong working relationships with subbies, ensuring clear and consistent communication throughout the project.
- Implement and enforce strict health and safety procedures, ensuring a safe working environment on a live site.
- Maintain a keen eye for detail and finishes, ensuring the highest quality of workmanship.
- Coordinate and oversee the installation of new spa facilities and swimming pools (both internal and external), as well as refurbishments of the indoor swimming pool, gym, changing rooms, and café/lounge/bar areas.
- Utilise strong joinery knowledge to oversee relevant aspects of the fit-out.
- Ensure all relevant documentation is in place and up-to-date, including site reports, progress updates, and material orders.
- Maintain effective communication and coordination with suppliers, subcontractors, and designers.
- Utilise computer literacy for email communication, report writing, programme management, material procurement, and general administration.
Key Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Site Manager with a strong all-round knowledge of construction, encompassing civils, internal fit-out, and M&E services.
- Proven experience working on live construction sites, with a strong understanding of the associated challenges and considerations.
- Experience in leisure sector projects, particularly with the installation of spas and swimming pools, and refurbishment works, would be highly advantageous.
- A joinery background would be considered a significant asset.
- Possession of all relevant and up-to-date qualifications, including SMST, CSCS and First Aid.
- Strong computer literacy, including proficiency in email communication, report writing, programming software, and general office applications.
