Roles and Responsibilities
- Plan, prepare, and deliver stimulating Spanish lessons to students from beginner to advanced levels.
- Assess, record, and report on the development, progress, and attainment of students.
- Develop and update curriculum materials in line with departmental and school goals.
- Maintain a positive, safe, and engaging learning environment in the classroom.
- Participate in departmental meetings, school events, and extracurricular activities, such as a Spanish club or cultural trips.
- Communicate effectively with parents regarding student progress and well-being.
- Stay up-to-date with best practices in language teaching and curriculum development.
What We're Looking For
We are seeking a charismatic and highly effective educator who can bring energy and expertise to our department.
- A relevant teaching qualification (e.g., PGCE, M.Ed., or equivalent).
- Fluency or near-fluency in Spanish (native or near-native speaker preferred).
- Proven experience teaching Spanish at the secondary level.
- A track record of high student achievement and effective classroom management.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
- A commitment to using diverse and modern teaching methodologies, including technology.
- Enthusiasm for promoting Spanish culture within the school community.
