We are seeking passionate individuals to join our specialist teams, providing high-level, trauma-informed care to vulnerable children and young people. Randstad is partnering with a dedicated organization in Portsmouth committed to providing exceptional care and support to children and young people. Job Location - Portsmouth Rates of Pay (PAYE):
- Days - £18.00 p/h
- Waking Night - £20.00 p/h
- Sleep in - £13.69 p/h
Job Summary
This role involves providing specialist, trauma-informed support to vulnerable children and young people within residential and community settings across Portsmouth. You will be instrumental in creating a safe and nurturing environment, managing challenging behaviors, and offering continuous support. Experience
- Proven experience supporting children/young people in a residential setting.
- Experience in using de-escalation techniques.
- Experience with safeguarding policies and procedures.
Skills
- Ability to manage challenging behaviours calmly and effectively.
- Flexibility to work in various settings.
- Reliability, resilience, and keen observation skills.
- Strong reporting and communication abilities.
- A driver's license with business insurance is highly desired.
Eligibility criteria:
- Minimum of 6 months UK , HCA - Health care assistant experience in the past 3 years [Preferably in the NHS]
- Full in-date DBS
- Right to work in the UK
- Upto date Mandatory Training
