Job Title: Adult Social Worker (Independent Reviewing Officer - IRO)
Location: Stockton - On - Tees, County Durham, UK
Salary: £33 per hour
Stockton-on-Tees Council is seeking a dedicated and experienced Adult Social Worker to join our team as an Independent Reviewing Officer (IRO). This position offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of vulnerable adults within our community.
Responsibilities:
... - Conduct impartial and thorough reviews of care plans and decisions made regarding vulnerable adults to ensure their rights and best interests are upheld.
- Advocate for the rights and preferences of adults in need of care and support, ensuring their voices are heard and respected in all decision-making processes.
- Undertake comprehensive assessments of adults' needs and circumstances, regularly monitoring their progress and reviewing care plans accordingly.
- Work collaboratively with other professionals, including social workers, healthcare providers, and support services, to ensure coordinated and effective care for adults under review.
- Ensure compliance with statutory regulations, council policies, and best practices in adult social care, maintaining high standards of service delivery and safeguarding.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all assessments, reviews, and decisions, ensuring confidentiality and data protection principles are upheld.
- Stay informed about relevant legislation, policies, and professional standards, and participate in continuous professional development activities to enhance skills and knowledge.
- Provide guidance and support to social workers, care providers, and other stakeholders involved in the care of vulnerable adults, promoting a culture of learning and improvement.
Qualifications:
- Registered with Social work England
- A Degree in Social work or Diploma in SW, CQSW, CSS
- Right to Work
- Enhanced DBS check, dated within the last 12 months
- Previous experience working in adult social care.
- Knowledge of relevant legislation, policies, and procedures governing adult safeguarding and care planning.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
