Randstad Education is seeking an inspiring and knowledgeable Teacher of Business to join a high-performing department at a reputable secondary school in Benfleet. This is a fantastic opportunity for a subject specialist to deliver engaging lessons that bridge the gap between the classroom and the corporate world.
Whether you are an Early Career Teacher (ECT) or an experienced practitioner, you will be responsible for delivering GCSE and A-Level Business Studies (and BTEC Level 2/3 where applicable). You will inspire the next generation of entrepreneurs, helping them master everything from marketing strategies to financial accounting.
Key Responsibilities
- Curriculum Delivery: Plan and deliver high-quality, innovative lessons across KS4 and KS5, tailored to various exam boards (e.g., AQA, Pearson Edexcel).
- Assessment & Feedback: Regularly assess student work, providing constructive feedback that drives progress and prepares students for external examinations.
- Data Tracking: Monitor student achievement data to identify those requiring intervention and those needing further challenge.
- Departmental Contribution: Participate in parents' evenings, departmental meetings, and the development of shared teaching resources.
Requirements
- Qualifications: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or QTLS is essential.
- Subject Knowledge: A degree in Business, Economics, or a related field with a deep understanding of the current UK curriculum.
- Classroom Skills: Proven ability to manage a classroom effectively while fostering a culture of high expectations.
- Adaptability: Ability to teach BTEC Vocational courses alongside traditional academic routes is highly desirable.
- Compliance: An enhanced Child DBS on the Update Service.
