This role is perfect for someone who enjoys the depth of teaching a vocational subject but also appreciates the variety of supporting the wider school curriculum. You will lead the Health & Social Care lessons while providing expert cover across other subjects when needed.
What You Will Be Doing
Health & Social Care Delivery: Teaching units such as Human Lifespan Development, Health and Social Care Services, and Care Values to KS4 and KS5 students.
Vocational Guidance: Supporting students with coursework, practical assessments, and exam preparation.
Versatile Cover: Stepping into other subject areas across the school, maintaining a high standard of classroom management and student engagement.
Team Collaboration: Working within the Social Sciences/Vocational department to ensure students meet their target grades.
Essential Requirements
DBS: An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service is mandatory for this ASAP start.
Experience: Previous experience teaching Health & Social Care (BTEC, OCR, or GCSE).
Adaptability: The ability to move seamlessly between your specialist subject and general secondary cover.
Immediate Availability: We are looking for someone who can start right away.
