Key Responsibilities

• Curriculum Delivery: Plan and teach high-quality lessons that cover Algebra, Geometry, Ratio, and Statistics, ensuring students grasp both the "how" and the "why."
• Exam Preparation: Prepare Year 11 students for their GCSEs (Higher and Foundation tiers), focusing on problem-solving skills and exam technique.
• Differentiation: Adapt teaching methods to stretch high-attaining mathematicians while providing scaffolding for those who find the subject challenging.
• Interactive Learning: Utilise modern classroom technology (e.g., HegartyMaths, Sparx, or interactive whiteboards) to enhance engagement.
• Data-Driven Progress: Use regular formative assessment to track student growth and implement interventions where necessary.

Requirements

• Qualifications: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or QTLS. Applications from ECTs are warmly welcomed.
• Subject Expertise: A degree in Mathematics or a STEM-related subject with a strong command of the UK National Curriculum.
• Analytical Approach: A logical, structured approach to teaching that helps students build confidence in their own numerical abilities.
• Classroom Management: Proven ability to maintain a focused and productive learning environment.
• Compliance: An enhanced Child DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
