Location: Birkenhead- CH41, Wirral
Duties:
- Provide one-on-one and small group support to students, focusing on literacy, numeracy, and other key subjects.
- Assist the class teacher in preparing and organising lesson materials and classroom displays.
- Help manage classroom behaviour and ensure a safe and inclusive learning environment.
- Supervise students during break times, lunch, and school trips.
- Monitor and record student progress, providing feedback to the teacher.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- A relevant qualification (e.g., Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant qualification) is desirable, but not essential.
- Experience working with young people, preferably in a secondary school setting.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for education.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently.
- A strong understanding of safeguarding and child protection policies.
