Teaching Assistant- Birkenhead

As a Teaching Assistant, you will be instrumental in supporting the learning environment and well-being of our secondary school pupils. You will work closely with teachers to facilitate classroom activities and provide essential direct support, helping to ensure that every student is engaged, confident, and able to access the curriculum effectively. Your role is vital to the success of our students.
Location: Birkenhead- CH41, CH42
Pay: £13.68 and £14.00 per hour
Duties:
... - Providing one-on-one and small group support to students.
- Assisting with lesson preparation, resource organisation, and classroom delivery.
- Helping to manage classroom behaviour and promote a positive learning atmosphere.
- Supervising students during various activities, including lunch breaks and school trips.
- Assisting with administrative tasks as needed by the class teacher.
Essential Requirements & Skills:
- A genuine passion for working with young people.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Patience, empathy, and the ability to be a positive role model.
- Relevant experience working in a school environment is highly desirable.
- A valid Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one) is required for all school work.
