- Assist with care needs as required, implementing positive behaviour management strategies tailored to individual students.
- Build warm, supportive relationships with students to foster a sense of safety and encourage learning.
- Promote independence and personal development, maintaining high behavioural expectations.
- Support the class teacher in delivering high-quality, differentiated educational activities.
- Contribute to a broad and balanced curriculum, aiming for students to reach their full potential.
- Collaborate with the team to create a positive and engaging learning environment.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation related to student progress and behaviour.
We're looking for you, if:
- You have 6-12 months of experience in SEN or SEMH settings.
- You have experience working in a school or educational setting.
- You have experience working with challenging behaviours.
- You possess transferable skills from SEN care, residential care, personal assistant roles, or fostering (considered an advantage).
- You are available full-time (generally 8:15 am - 4:40 pm, Monday-Friday).
- You have a driving license due to the school's location.
- You are not on a graduate visa (sponsorship not offered).
- You do not have visa restrictions.
- You have UK-based experience.
- You have excellent spoken and written English.
- You have a pass grade in GCSE Maths and English or equivalent.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- A passion for supporting young people with SEMH needs.
- Annual Salary: £22,102.72 - £24,103.93 actual salary
- Hourly Rate: £12.37 - £13.49 per hour
