Your Impact: What You'll Be Doing
As a key support figure, you will be instrumental in helping pupils with additional needs fully engage with school life and thrive. Your core responsibilities include:
- Crucial 1:1 Support: Providing crucial one-to-one or small group assistance to help pupils access the curriculum and participate confidently.
- Emotional Development: Helping students manage their emotions, build essential social skills, and develop vital self-confidence both inside and outside the classroom.
- Plan Implementation: Working alongside the Class Teacher to deliver tailored learning activities and faithfully implementing individual education and behaviour plans.
- Positive Environment: Fostering positive relationships and promoting an inclusive, engaging, and independent learning environment for all pupils.
What We're Looking For
While formal qualifications are not required, a genuine commitment to supporting children is absolutely essential.
- Passion is Key: A genuine passion for working with children and a proactive, nurturing approach.
- Skills: The ability to assist with tailored learning, implement plans, and foster positive relationships.
- Experience (Desirable): Previous experience supporting children with additional needs is a plus, but if you have the right attitude, we want to hear from you!
- Compliance: You must have, or be willing to apply for, an Enhanced DBS on the Update Service and possess the Right to Work in the UK.
