About the Role
As our Telehandler Operative, you'll be an indispensable part of our site operations, responsible for the safe and efficient movement of materials across the new build housing project. Your duties will include:
- Operating the telehandler safely and precisely to lift, move, and place a wide variety of construction materials (e.g., bricks, timber, roofing, general supplies).
- Ensuring timely and accurate delivery of materials to various trades and work areas, directly supporting construction progress.
- Assisting with the safe loading and unloading of incoming deliveries, coordinating with transport and site personnel.
- Performing essential daily machine checks and basic maintenance to ensure optimal and safe operation.
- Strictly adhering to all site health and safety regulations and company policies, always prioritizing a safe working environment.
- Maintaining clear and effective communication with site management, banksmen, and fellow operatives to ensure smooth workflow.
What We're Looking For
- Proven and highly experienced as a telehandler operative, with a strong background in new build housing developments.
- Holds a valid CPCS card.
- Possesses excellent operating skills and a keen awareness of busy site environments and safety protocols.
- Reliable, punctual, and demonstrates a proactive and safety-conscious work ethic.
- Committed to maintaining high safety standards on site at all times.
- Full clean UK driving licence
