Civil Engineering / Groundworks Support
Location: Morpeth, Northumberland
Rate: £22.00 per hour (CIS)
Start Date: End of January
Duration: Ongoing (Approx. 4-5 Months)
The Role:
We are looking for a highly competent and safety-conscious Telehandler Operator to support a civil engineering project in the Morpeth area. You will be responsible for the safe movement of materials across a busy site, supporting groundworks gangs, and ensuring the efficient logistics of the project.
As this is a civils environment, the role involves more than just moving pallets; you will be expected to assist with precise placements near excavations and infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities:
Material Handling: Loading and unloading deliveries and distributing materials (pipes, kerbs, rebar, shuttering) across the site.
Groundwork Support: Assisting groundworkers by moving equipment and materials to specific work areas on rough or uneven terrain.
Suspended Loads: Executing lifts using chains or slings (where qualified) for drainage and structural components.
Maintenance: Performing daily vehicle safety checks and maintaining a clean, operational machine.
Requirements:
Valid CPCS or NPORS Telehandler ticket (A17D or equivalent).
Essential: CPCS/NPORS must carry the CSCS Logo.
Preferred: A17E endorsement for Suspended Loads.
Valid Safety Critical Medical certificate.
Proven experience working on civil engineering or infrastructure sites.
Local to Morpeth or able to commute reliably for an 07:30 start.
