2nd Line Network Engineer
Location: Peterborough, UK (2-3 days in office)
Salary: £40,000-£45,000 per annum
Shift Pattern: Friday-Monday, 8:00am-6:00pm (weekends included), Tuesday-Thursday off
We're looking for a skilled 2nd Line Network Engineer to provide advanced technical support, troubleshoot complex issues, and collaborate with 3rd Line teams to keep our networks running smoothly.
Key Responsibilities:
... - Investigate and resolve escalated technical issues.
- Perform log analysis, configuration changes, device upgrades, and backups.
- Collaborate with 3rd Line and vendors to resolve critical incidents.
- Support Service Desk and 1st Line Engineers.
- Maintain technical knowledge and accreditations.
Requirements:
- 2-3 years' experience in a similar SLA-driven support role.
- Strong experience with Cisco Switches/Routers and some of: Fortinet, Palo Alto, Checkpoint, Cisco Meraki, HP Aruba, F5, Azure, AWS.
- Preferred: Netscaler/F5, Cisco Wireless/SD-WAN/DNAC/ISE/ACI, ITIL knowledge, SC clearance or ability to obtain.
