About the Role
Our client is a leading organisation that has transformed public sector procurement-helping local authorities, central government, healthcare, housing, and education bodies deliver efficient, socially impactful outcomes.
As Account Manager, you will be the primary relationship lead for member authorities under a major public sector framework, as well as selected client accounts. You will play a critical role in supporting stakeholders to achieve compliant, value-driven procurement while helping scale the framework's success.
Key Responsibilities
● Lead Relationship Management: Act as the central point of contact for framework member authorities-guiding them through procurement strategy, supplier engagement, and framework utilisation.
● Account Development: Nurture and expand client relationships within the framework and other strategic accounts to drive increased procurement activity and deeper engagement.
● Client Support & Delivery: Educate stakeholders on framework processes (including competitive and direct award routes), ensuring compliant, efficient delivery of services.
● Cross-functional Coordination: Work closely with internal teams to tailor offerings to meet each authority's needs and priorities.
● Social Value Advocacy: Support clients in delivering wider social value outcomes, such as SME inclusion and local impact.
● Insights & Reporting: Provide regular account updates, performance metrics, and strategic feedback to strengthen client engagement and inform future product development.
What We Are Looking For
● 5-8+ years in account management, ideally within professional services, public sector, or procurement services.
● Demonstrated success in managing and growing relationships within public sector frameworks or similar consultative environments.
Skills & Attributes
● Strong stakeholder engagement skills with the ability to explain procurement processes and value propositions clearly.
● Results-driven, consultative approach with proven ability to expand accounts and deliver client success.
● Excellent organisational and coordination skills in a fast-moving environment.'
Desirable
● Experience working with UK collaborative procurement frameworks or public sector consortia.
