About the Role:
We are seeking a well-qualified, enthusiastic and conscientious Achievement Leader of Music and Performing Arts to join our thriving secondary school in Bradford. This is a permanent post starting September 2025, ideal for an inspirational teacher ready to take the next step in their leadership journey, or a current middle leader seeking a fresh challenge. The Achievement Leader will lead the Music and Performing Arts department, taking responsibility for the strategic direction, curriculum development, and performance of the subject area. This is a key role in helping us raise standards and provide an exceptional experience in the creative arts.

Responsibilities
- Provide inspirational leadership to the Music and Performing Arts department
- Design and implement a high-quality, inclusive curriculum
- Monitor student progress and implement interventions where necessary
- Lead departmental self-evaluation and improvement planning
- Organise and lead school performances, concerts, and productions
- Ensure high standards of teaching and learning across the subject
- Contribute to whole-school leadership responsibilities and duties
- Ensure department resources are effectively deployed and managed
- Monitor teaching quality and support under performance with action plans
- Engage in and contribute to school-wide CPD opportunities
