The Opportunity
North Tyneside Council is looking for three experienced Advanced Practitioners to join their busy Children's Services teams. This is a critical role designed to provide expert social work practice and support the delivery of high-quality services to children and families.
We are currently recruiting for two specific areas:
Social Work Assessment Team (1 Position): Focus on initial assessments and managing the "front door" of service delivery.
Safe and Supported Teams (2 Positions): Focus on long-term support and ensuring children remain safe within their communities.
Key Responsibilities
Expert Practice: Provide high-level social work expertise in complex cases.
Team Support: Work within a busy environment to meet statutory deadlines and service requirements.
Case Management: Oversee assessments and interventions within the Assessment or Safe and Supported frameworks.
Requirements
Qualification: Must be a Social Care Qualified professional.
Compliance: Active Social Work England registration is essential.
Availability: Ready to start in early 2026 for a full-time, temporary assignment.
