The Role ...

We are hiring two Applied AI & Workflow Automation Apprentices to help design and build internal tools and workflows that integrate AI systems, financial data, and business processes. This is a hands-on technical role focused on creating practical solutions. One successful candidate will work more closely with the front office investment team, while the other will focus on sales workflows, though both roles will collaborate across the firm. The role is intentionally broad and entrepreneurial-we are looking for individuals who enjoy building systems, experimenting with new technologies, and solving practical operational problems.

Key Responsibilities

Automation Design: Design and build automation workflows to improve internal processes across the firm.
AI Integration: Integrate AI systems and large language models (LLMs) into research and operational workflows.
Prompt Engineering: Develop structured prompt frameworks and AI interactions for specific business tasks.
Data Systems: Work with financial data sources and APIs, including potential Bloomberg data integrations.
Tool Development: Build simple graphical user interfaces (GUIs) or internal tools for team workflows.
Microsoft Ecosystem: Develop solutions within the Microsoft ecosystem, including Teams, SharePoint, Power Automate, and Power BI.
Cloud & Pipelines: Help create cloud-based workflows and data pipelines used across the firm.
Collaboration: Work closely with investment and sales teams to understand operational challenges and design solutions.
Testing & Documentation: Test, refine, and improve tools to ensure reliability while documenting systems as they evolve.

Useful Experience (Preferred but not required):

Exposure to Bloomberg Terminal or Bloomberg API.
Experience with Microsoft cloud tools like Teams, SharePoint, Azure, Power Automate, and Power BI.
Familiarity with Python or other scripting languages.
Experience building dashboards, simple GUIs, or using automation platforms.
