About the Role
This is a full-time position starting after the Easter break. The successful candidate will join a vibrant and popular Design Faculty, teaching across Art, Design, and Photography. The role involves delivering high-quality instruction at Key Stage 3, where the focus is on building a foundation of formal elements, and at Key Stage 4, where students pursue AQA specifications in Fine Art, Graphic Communication, and Photography.

Requirements
... - Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
- An Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply for one).
- Familiarity with the National Curriculum and AQA GCSE specifications.
- Eligibility to work in the UK.

- Coursework Supervision: Guiding GCSE students through their 10-hour supervised assessment periods.
- Extra-Curricular Support: Giving time to enrich the curriculum through clubs and after-school sessions.
- Educational Visits: Organising and leading trips to major galleries and local sites of interest.
- SMSC Integration: Promoting Spiritual, Moral, Social, and Cultural development through art.
- Progress Tracking: Monitoring and reporting on student achievement and setting ambitious targets.
- Health & Safety: Ensuring the safe use of tools, machinery, and chemical materials.
- Parental Engagement: Providing feedback during parents' evenings and through school reports.
- Resource Management: Maintaining specialist equipment and ordering necessary studio supplies.
